West Road Crematorium

West Road Crematorium has been providing cremation services to local people for a number of years. Cremation services are carried out throughout the week between the hours of 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday. Currently the crematorium managed by Newcastle Council do not provide cremation services at the weekend. Within the crematorium there are two chapels which are jointed together with an arcaded cloister referred to as the Loggia. Both chapels have undergone a significant refurbishment to bring them up to modern standards. The West Chapel has seating for approximately 180 people and features a CD, cassette player and organ. There is also an induction loop system. The East Chapel is slightly smaller accommodating 165 mourners.
