Hi, we’re Beyond

We launched Beyond in 2015 with a mission: to help people when they need it most.

Death isn’t something most of us want to think about — until we have to. And that makes us vulnerable. Not every solicitor or funeral director has your best interests at heart.

We wanted to solve that. To use technology and a new way of thinking to help people make decisions that were right for them and their families. So, we formed a (tiny) team and created our site.

We started in the funeral sector.

Before us, most funeral directors didn’t list their prices online. This made it hard for families to compare costs and find the right service for them.

So, we made a tool to help. We’re proud that in the last three years, over 30% of the UK’s funeral directors have joined our price comparison website.

But we didn’t want to stop there. In 2017, and with a much larger team on board, we started looking for new ways to help.

Luckily, we’ve found plenty. Our affordable online wills have helped thousands of people in the UK get peace of mind quickly and easily. And our estate administration service is making probate easier for families all over the country.

We haven’t forgotten our roots, either. Our free crowdfunding obituaries have helped families struggling with funeral costs say a proper goodbye.

Everything we do is designed to improve the lives of the people who visit us. Along the way, we’ve transformed the landscape of after life services.

We’ve boldly exposed greedy corporations. We’ve won advertising awards for our campaign to get people talking about death. And we’ve built the best advice website for wills, funerals and probate in the UK, with over a million visitors every year.
