Lambeth Crematorium and Remembrance Garden were opened in May 1958 and are situated within ten acres of tranquil gardens, adjacent to Lambeth Cemetery which opened in 1854. Within Lambeth Crematorium, religious and non religious services can be catered for including a full religious service. Alternatively you may wish to hold a non-religious service which addresses your cultural traditions or you can if you choose not to have a service at all. If you require music to accompany the service, this is provided free of charge and there is a public address system within the chapel which is available for use. Following on from the cremation, the Book of Remembrance is one of the most popular memorial options. However, there are other options including rose bushes and/or ornamental trees, memorial cards, cremation plots or miniature books of remembrance.
