Islington Crematorium is well equipped to cater for the modern day cremation service. There is a multi-faith chapel, waiting area and dedicated Book of Remembrance. The chapel is a comfortable, peaceful and spacious which has seating for 74 people and additional room for standing. For larger congregations, two outdoor screens can be set up to allow people to view the service outside the chapel. Services can be tailored to suit incorporating music and video. There is also the ability to live stream the service over the internet for those people who are unable to attend in person. With disabled access, the crematorium has an induction loop for those with hearing impairments and ramps can be provided to allow disabled access to the chapels on request. A funeral service should be carefully planned to respect with wishes of the family and the deceased. The owners of the crematorium, the London Borough of Islington Council take great care in ensuring that funeral services are unique, personal and meaningful.
