Chorlton cum Hardy Crematorium
Based in Barlow Moor Road in Manchester, Chorlton cum Hardy Crematorium is an older building that is packed full of history. It opened in 1892 and was the second crematorium in the country. The ideal location for a special memorial, this particular Crematorium has been able to provide many families the perfect place to say goodbye to a loved one. Here there are two chapels, the old and new chapel. The old chapel is able to seat around 120 people and not only has beautiful stained glass windows but also features a bold feature organ too. The new chapel, was opened in 1954 and is the ideal base for those smaller services. It comes with an iPod deck, CD facilities to broadcast the music through the service. Not only this, but the service can be relayed outside the chapel for those that are unable to get inside for the service. This particular crematorium also has a memorial garden which gives you the chance to remember your loved ones in a beautiful setting.
