Accrington Crematorium

Situated at the heart of Accrington Cemetery on Burnley Road, Accrington Crematorium is located in a peaceful rural setting offering visitors and the bereaved a certain element of comfort and peace. The road leading up to the crematorium has been lined with colourful flower beds and lime trees which bloom throughout the year. The Chapel at Accrington Crematorium is more than 100 years old and is a prominent building with original beams, stained glass windows and high ceilings. In terms of cremation services, the chapel has seating for approximately 80 people with additional standing room in the aisles and in a glass annex. The sound system can play music both within and outside of the chapel to ensure that everyone can hear the service. The crematorium currently serves communities in the Rossendale, Ribble Valley, Burnley, Pendle, Blackburn, Burnley, Bury and Hyndburn areas. Cremation services take place at 40 minute intervals throughout the day allowing sufficient time to conduct the service and then leave the chapel.
