The Affordable Funeral Company is an independent funeral director run by Stuart Roberts. Our mission is quite simple, to make funerals affordable again. The vast majority of people do not have £4,000+ to spend on a funeral, especially in these times of austerity. Celebrating and mourning the passing of a loved one should not be distracted by the worries and burdens of extortionate prices. Stuart has over 17 years experience in the funeral industry with 12 of those as a Funeral Director. He has worked during that time for two of the largest chain funeral companies in the country, as well as two periods at independent funeral providers. As such, he has witnessed first hand the steady and unjustifiable rise in funeral costs over this time and the consequences this has had on families funding the respectful and dignified send off they desire in celebrating the memories of their loved ones. It has become more and more difficult to afford decent send offs with many companies. It was this unacceptable and unjustified rise that motivated Stuart to form The Affordable Funeral Company to specifically address this issue and offer the service that families expect at a price that winds the clock back on the ever increasing price rises of the last decade. The Affordable Funeral Company is located in Ashton-under-Lyne and offers our services across the entire Greater Manchester area. We typically use a Mercedes hearse for our services but can offer a number of different vehicles depending on your wishes. We can of course arrange further cars to transport your family.
