T Hadley, Blackheath (Part of N. E. Downing Ltd) is an independent, family run funeral director operating from the High Street. Since our formation in 1895 by Thomas Hadley, we have endeavoured to serve the families who request our help with the dignity and respect they deserve. From the moment you contact us here at T Hadley, we will make sure that you are treated to our revered comprehensive and compassionate service that we have built up over the generations. We are owned by one of the oldest and most established companies in the Black Country alongside distinguished names such as Bathams Brewery and Higgs & Co. Solicitors. From our office, all funeral arrangements can be handled with the care and respect your loved one deserves. Whether that be the ordering of any floral arrangement, or the organisation and purchase of a memorial stone. Nothing is too much for the staff here at T Hadley. Our parent company, N. E. Downing (Blackheath) Ltd have a long history of serving the communities of the whole Black Country area. The company originated from Vicarage Road in Blackheath but has grown to encompass 7 locations based around the West Midlands. As well as T Hadley, we have also welcomed J.T. Brookes & Co, Hagley; J. T. Brookes & Co, Kingswinford; J.T. Brookes & Co, Brierley Hill; Dainty & Downing, Dudley and J. R. Jones & Co, Gornal into the N. E. Downing family. We are still operated and overseen today by the Downing generation with William Downing taking the reins assisted by other family members such as Stephen, Sue and Lucy Downing. Branch manager Melanie Unwin oversees the day to day running of the office as well as looking after families on the day of the funeral.
