Caradoc Price, T P Griffiths & Sons Independent Family Funeral Directors is an independent family-run firm of funeral directors, which has been proudly serving the community of Merthyr Tydfil since 1900. The firm started life as two separate family-owned funeral directors, Caradoc Price and Griffiths. Both family businesses are well-established and respected for their professionalism and sincere approach to helping the local bereaved. Following the death of Caradoc Price, his family decided to sell his business and thought of none other than T.P Griffiths & Sons as the right firm to carry forward his legacy. As of February 1st, 1985, the two were incorporated and the firm is now owned and run by Tegwyn Griffiths and his two sons, Keith and Gareth. Spanning three generations, this family firm has supported the local bereaved with care, compassion and skill. The two brothers, Gareth and Keith alone, have over 60 years of experience in providing families with the highest standard of care and consideration at a time of need. Their reputation for service excellence is something they are proud of and strive hard to maintain. In 2013, the company invested heavily in developing and modernising its premises. The funeral home in Rectory Close has been totally redesigned to better cater to the needs of local families. The redesign features a new, much larger service chapel equipped to extremely high standards, as well as improved Chapel of Rest facilities. Over the years the Caradoc Price & Griffiths firm has also expanded the services it is able to offer, establishing Cefn Coed Memorials, located opposite Cefn Coed Cemetery, and setting up a satellite office on Brecon Road, opposite St. Mary's R.C. Church. T.P Griffiths has also recently acquired Harris and Jones, operating from opposite Pant Cemetery. The local community and the needs of their customers are central to these decisions and every step they take. Keith and Gareth share the same values and commitment as their familial predecessors.
