Based in Peak Dale, Buxton, Bernard Kenney and Daughter Family Funeral Service is an independent funeral home offering support and guidance to the families of Chapel-en-Frith, Whaley Bridge, New Mills and surrounding High Peak areas from the tranquillity of our premises in the Peak District. We understand that arranging a funeral can be something that people embark on with an amount of apprehension and uncertainty. At Bernard Kenney and Daughter, we want to take this stress away and recognise that our role as a funeral director is to make the arrangements on the family’s behalf. We do this by either inviting you to our office, Thornheyes in High Peak or by meeting at your residence, whichever is the more convenient for you. We will then discuss any personal requests you may have and offer help and advice, most of which has been accumulated over the past years. We try to make each funeral as unique to your loved one as possible and believe that the care and compassion shown to the family and friends of a loved one are of the highest importance. Profit is not important to use and we pride ourselves on being the most cost-effective funeral director in the High Peak. We’re not a 9-5 funeral director. We are available to you and other families that use us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including Christmas, New Year and Bank Holidays. Throughout the generations, this has always been our policy, along with our high standard of care and compassion. Everyone at Bernard Kenney and Daughter prides themselves on this. In 2014, Dianne successfully obtained her Diploma in Funeral Arranging and Administration qualification adding to her Diploma in Funeral Directing. This, as well as Bernard Kenney being a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD), means that families using our service can be sure that the service they receive is of an excellent quality and performed to the highest level of professional standards.
