South Leicestershire Crematorium

South Leicestershire Crematorium has only been open since 2015 to serve residents in the local area. The crematorium and memorial park is one of several sites currently owned and managed by Memoria Limited. For families planning cremation services, funerals can take up to an hour, allowing 40 minutes for the service and then the remainder of the time to arrive and depart from the crematorium before the next funeral arrives. The chapel has seating for 100 people. Disabled access is available to the crematorium building and there is also an induction hearing loop for those with hearing impairments. Sometimes it is not possible for family members and friends to attend the funeral service because they are currently overseas or in another part of the country on the day of the service. Where this occurs, the crematorium has the facility to securely, live stream the service to those who cannot attend in person. For visual displays there are also plasma television screens.
