Crewe Crematorium is located in the grounds of the cemetery on Market Close. The crematorium was opened in 1957 and the first cremation took place in May 1958. The main entrance is found on Badger Avenue. There is a single chapel which is used for cremations and normal burials and it has recently undergone a period of improvement work to increase capacity from 68 seats to 106. The chapel has a loop system for those with hearing impairments and a wheelchair is available for use if this is required. Funeral services and the way in which they are conducted can be tailored to suit. Each service is allocated a 40 minute period although additional time can be requested. The crematorium has its own book room for the Book of Remembrance and this is open between 8:30am and 4pm Monday to Friday and 8:30am to 4pm on weekends and bank holidays.
