Hi and welcome to Simple Kent Funerals. We're an independent funeral service - not part of a chain. We're flexible, positive, creative, eco-friendly, open-minded and caring people. We’re here to help you say goodbye, which can be done in all sorts of ways. We’ll take the time to listen and work flexibly with you. We'll discuss ways you can be involved in making the ceremony and celebration as personal as possible, including where you'd like things to take place - which could include holding everything at the same venue. Honouring a life in simple, thoughtful ways has great meaning. We're celebrants too, so we can conduct the service or lead the ceremony - and help with the celebration. How much you spend has nothing to do with how much you love. ​If you've done some research you'll already know we're inexpensive and unlike almost all funeral firms, we don't profit from products or services organised and paid for by us on your behalf - such as coffins, urns, venues, flowers, ministers/celebrants, service sheets, transport, music/recordings, performers - so no hidden extra fees and complete transparency - and you're free to order anything yourself if you prefer. We’ll suggest ways of helping keep costs to a minimum if that's important to you – and ways your family and friends can be involved in making the funeral as personal as possible. Fees for all our services are published on our website. We don't do packages which really helps manage costs. 'One size fits all' doesn't work for a funeral so we simply deliver what you want. After we've discussed and agreed everything together we'll confirm it all in writing. This means you're in control of how your money is being spent, you understand what we're doing and you're clear about the timings.
