In that time, the Rowland family has acquired a hard-won reputation for providing a caring and professional service to bereaved families in the Mid Kent area, and there are now two Paul J Rowland branches, one in Penenden Heath, Maidstone, and the other in Allington. The business is managed by Paul Rowland himself and his daughter Liza Rowland. Paul was born into a Naval family, and enlisted into the British Armed Forces in September 1964, as a Junior Tradesman Driver/Radio Operator in the Army. 22 years of service within the Royal Corp of Signals followed, with Paul attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant and serving in the UK, Germany and Cyprus. Since his retirement from the Forces in 1988, Paul has been living in the Medway area with his family, and has amassed over 20 years of valuable experience within the funeral industry. Liza holds a diploma in funeral directing, and Paul J Rowland Funeral Directors is a member of SAIF, the Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors.
