Based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, Neil and Sonya Milsted are an independent, family run funeral service with over 30 years of experience. Serving Harrogate and all the surrounding areas, our main aim when helping you is to provide the upmost care for your loved one who has passed away, but also to make sure that all your family’s needs are met and taken care of. We are proud to be an independent, family run funeral director, meaning we are not bound by corporate rules and targets, but are flexible in our approach and are committed to meeting the needs of the most important aspect of any funeral which is making sure the families we work with are treated with dignity and respect. Neil has an extensive background in the funeral and memorial service sector stretching out to all the legal arrangements required for burial and cremations as well as navigating the sometimes-confusing field of repatriation services. This knowledge was built up over a 30-year period that began with the cemeteries and crematorium service for Harrogate Borough Council in the 1980’s. After this, in 1993, Neil became the bereavement services and welfare funeral manager of the City of York council before starting his own funeral service, Neil and Sonya Milstead Independent Funeral Directors, in Hookstone Chase, Harrogate.
