McAtee Funeral Directors is an independent and family run outfit established since 1908. For over 100 years the McAtee family has been helping bereaved families in the Omagh district since Francis James McAtee founded the business, and it is now in its third generation. Our business as much as the wider funeral industry in Northern Ireland has developed since 1908, when hearses were pulled by horses. These days the modern hearse is motorised and followed by limousines carrying the mourners. We are proud to say that we have continued the tradition of the horse-drawn hearse, however, offering you choices with regards to how you choose to transport your loved one to their final resting place. We at McAtee Funeral Directors have abided by the same principles that our founder enshrined into the business back in 1908. We are always mindful of paying personal care and attention to you, our clients, as well as treating everything that you say with the utmost confidence. We will always carry out your requests to the letter, and will approach your requirements with sympathy and understanding for your position and your requirements. McAtee Funeral Directors can help you with every aspect of arranging the funeral, from sourcing the kind of coffin you'd like, to helping with the flowers, from arranging catering at the memorial service to arranging newspaper announcements. Tell us what you'd like us to do for you, and we'll make it happen. At McAtee Funeral Directors, we are proud of our independent status. We believe that it means we are free to do our job -serving you at what is undoubtedly a difficult time- with distinction, free of the pressures faced by corporate funeral directors. We are long-standing members of SAIF (The Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors), which gives you added confidence that you will be treated with dignity, compassion and professionalism by the team here at McAtee Funeral Directors.
