Matthew A Potts & Sons is an independent funeral director set up by local man Matthew Potts and his family. After attending a family funeral at the age of 14, Matthew knew he was destined to be a funeral director. He began working part-time at a local firm before going full time after leaving school at 16. On his 23rd Birthday, Matthew received a National Association of Funeral Directors Diploma in Funeral Management and became a fully qualified Funeral Director. Matthew’s background in the industry is a testament to his commitment to his profession. Here at Matthew A Potts & Sons, our dedication and passion for delivering exceptional customer service is shared by the whole team resulting in personalised and dedicated customer care. Matthew is assisted daily by his wife Melanie, also a lifelong resident of Knutsford. Their eldest son, Jacob, also assists full time with funeral arrangements and undertakes bearing duties. Their two other children Sam and Rachel also help out, making the business a truly family run local business. As a result of our local residency and our family first approach, caring for local families is at the heart of our business and we work tirelessly to ensure your loved one's funeral fits with their wishes. Our compassionate and personalised service is second to none and we take pride in our family focus. Our beautiful onsite chapel is available for families to use. Whilst this option is not always right for every family, we will be more than willing to discuss this with you.
