Back in 1806, John Beattie founded the funeral business John Beattie & Sons in Harwick, part of the historic county of Roxburghshire. The guiding principles of respect, dignity and fairness have never waivered in the 200+ years that have passed since our founding. From our office based on Weensland Road, close to Mart Street Roundabout, we endeavour to provide a unique service to each and every family that we take into our care. Arranging a funeral is never easy and can be a burden to families at a difficult time. Thanks to our many years of experience, we understand this and are more than willing to take on all administrative tasks as well as liaison with third parties such as the local burial grounds/crematoriums. As well as this, we will organise the intricacies that comes with a funeral, making sure that on the day, everything runs smoothly. We offer a range of eco-coffins, natural memorials and opportunities to choose a natural burial park at one of the local woodland burial sites. We can also assist with natural memorials such as the planting, sponsorship, or donation of a tree.
