J Brown Funeral Services Ltd is a family owned and managed funeral director, faithfully serving Amersham and all its surrounding areas 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. As an independent company, we can provide you and your family with a level of intimacy that is unavailable within the structure of larger firms, tailoring the funeral to whatever specifications you wish - be they simple or elaborate. At J Brown, we understand more than anybody that losing a loved one can be a harrowing experience, and that is why Jason, his family and his trained staff not only take care of your loved one with the upmost dignity and respect, but also endeavour to make sure that you and your family receive the highest level of guidance, care and support during this most difficult period. Jason, the proprietor and senior funeral director at J Brown, is always in the office to greet you and make service arrangements, however, if you would like to discuss the funeral in the comfort of your own homes, then Jason will happily come and meet you. Jason and the team will be there for you every step of the way, conducting the funeral service on the day to ensure that everything goes exactly the way you want it to. Starting out in his family business as a chauffeur and bearer in 1992, Jason Brown progressed over time to planning arrangements with bereaved families, as well as the conduction of the funerals themselves. In 2003, when the owner retired, Jason became a partner and took over conducting funerals from all three of his offices, as well as managing and dealing with the day-to-day running of the business. The family business was sold at the end of 2015. After selling the business, Jason remained working for the new business owners, however, over time, the company became a much larger affair and developed divergent practices which differed from Jason’s personal standards: with marginal cover of areas he used to work more intimately, he didn’t have any dealings with funeral arrangements or was unable to meet with families until the day of the funeral; the personal touch had been lost and this wasn’t the way he liked to do things. After some time, Jason decided to leave and look for somewhere to begin a new business afresh; somewhere he could do things the way he believes they should be done. After much planning and preparation, a location was found, and Jason established the premises he currently operates from in a new office on Woodside Road, Amersham. From this new location, Jason continues to provide the families he serves with compassion, dignity and the high levels of support.
