Ian Hart Funeral Service

Independent
Worthing, BN14 9DE

Ian Hart, owner of Ian Hart Funeral Service of Worthing, comes from one of the oldest funeral directing families still in existence. His great grandfather, A.J. Pratley, founded the parent company at the beginning of the last century before being succeeded by Ian's grandfather, A.G. (Gordon) Pratley, in 1927. Ian himself is now approaching 30 years of experience in the funeral profession in Worthing and the surrounding districts. Our family firm is now in its fourth generation, with Ian's son, Sam, joining in September 2013. Our funeral home can be found on Broadwater Street West, Worthing, and the premises provide an informal environment in which to discuss and finalise any funeral or memorial arrangements. Should anyone prefer these discussions to take place in the privacy of their own home, Ian would be pleased to accommodate their wishes and visit them there. Ian Hart Funeral Service operates a strict code of practice set down by The National Society of Allied & Independent Funeral Directors and will endeavour under all circumstances, to provide full and correct information about the services which are available. Ian's aim is to listen to and treat all of his clients with respect and courtesy. He works closely with each family in order to understand and meet their personal requirements both in terms of cost and quality. Customer service is at the heart of the business, with office facilities and personal visits available seven days a week at a time suitable to the client. As part of this commitment to customer service, Ian Hart Funeral Service opened the Gordon Chapel in 2015 to allow families to have a more personal service without the time constraints of the crematorium. Located on Sompting Road, Broadwater, the Gordon Chapel can accommodate up to 60 mourners with a catering suite on the first floor. There is wheelchair access throughout and a lift to take mourners to the fully equipped reception area. The chapel and function room are equipped with full media facilities, allowing music and photographic presentations to be played. The Gordon Chapel also has a private car park and further on-street parking, available within a short distance of the chapel.
