House of Serenity Funeral Services was established in 2008, owned by Marilyn Carty Dip.FD, & managed by people from African & Caribbean backgrounds. We have over sixteen years of experience, gained by working for small independent funeral directors, & large international companies. Marilyn Carty Dip.FD entered the funeral industry in 1992 working for Francis Chappell & Sons in New Cross/Deptford. Marilyn gained experience at many of the numerous branches throughout the south-east area of London, covering all aspects of the funeral industry. Marilyn Carty Dip.FD is a professionally qualified Funeral Director, & in gaining her Diploma in Funeral Directing, 1996, Marilyn became the first black woman to hold this certificate in London, UK. We also specialise in funerals for Rastafarians & have Rastafarian Funeral Directors. Our aim is to provide a service to the community at their time of bereavement, in doing so; we strive to use our skills & expertise for the benefit of the community. All funerals are tailor-made to suit each & every individual need. Our company is based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance.
