Hopkinson Wootton Lovatt is a family run, independent funeral director, who have been faithfully servicing the local families of Newcastle-under-Lyme and the surrounding areas for nearly 200 years. Established in 1820, we have a long history of helping bereaved families say goodbye to their loved one in a respectful, compassionate and affordable way. Originally founded by the Wootton brothers, the business was passed down the generations until father and sons team, Lovatt, took over and added the Lovatt to the business name. As a one branch funeral director, our dedicated team are hand-picked and highly trained to provide a service that is both compassionate and knowledgeable. When it comes to our families, we are unconcerned with profits, and work tirelessly to make your time of bereavement as easy to cope with as possible. We are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week and as a result we promise to be there for you at every step of the process. Another service we offer is our onsite chapel of rest. Whilst this service is not for everyone, some families find it helpful to have a chance to say one final goodbye. The chapel is pristinely kept and small services can be held within it. We take every care to ensure that, however you wish to say goodbye to your loved one, we are able to provide that at an affordable price. Both of these organisations have strict moral codes and to be members we are expected to offer exceptional service, every time.
