Herongate Wood Woodland Cemetery

Herongate Wood is the beautiful natural cemetery that is part of our family group, Adam & Greenwood Funeral Home. Herongate Wood is being established immediately adjacent to an ancient bluebell wood and we are planting a mixture of native trees across the area used for burials in order to enlarge this wood, so that, as trees mature and shade out the grass, the bluebells will grow. Our professional, experienced and caring staff believe in putting the 'Family First' by providing guidance and support at a time when it matters most. We will gently lead you through every stage of the funeral process, with the aim of creating the funeral arrangements of your choice. We strongly believe that making provisions in advance, for both the funeral and final resting place, can remove much of the burden that families experience at a time that can be both emotionally and financially draining, so we are happy to discuss all your pre-need requirements. Herongate Wood and its funeral arm, Adam & Greenwood Funeral Home, provide a wide range of funeral services for both burials and cremation. Our funeral services at Herongate Wood are gentle, unhurried and child-friendly. You may choose from a morning or afternoon funeral as we aim to have no more than two funeral services a day. The Hall of Remembrance has 50+ chairs with room for around 35 standing. In fine weather, many choose to have the service outside, on our beautifully sited paved terrace, overlooking our lovely pond. We also offer the facility to arrange pre-paid funeral plans and additionally you can pre-book your burial and/or ashes plots. Staff are on site to assist Monday to Saturday. As a selected supplier for Essex County Council, we are committed to providing a personal service to you whenever you need it most.
