Grindalls of Wem Funeral Directors also have a chapel of rest in which we will take great care of your loved one prior to the funeral and where you are welcome to visit them and say your farewells in privacy and comfort. Our firm of family-run funeral directors has a strong and lengthy history for providing high quality funerals delivered to the highest levels of professionalism. In 1931 Joesph Henry Grindall bought the business from his brother in law Vivian Wellings and, soon after the end of World War II his sons Jabez and Vivian joined him. The business and was renamed J H Grindall & Sons and Jabez and Vivian continued to run the business until 1988, when it was sold to Mr Alan Painter of Frank Painter & Sons.
