Green Willow Funerals are a family-centred funeral service, wholly owned by a charity. Established in 1997 and based in Cardiff, our Company Directors give their expertise, time and governance in a voluntary capacity. Our motivation is to ensure that bereaved individuals and families in our community receive personal, respectful and affordable services and that all company profits are donated for the charitable purposes of the Cardiff YMCA (1910) Trust. Our offices can be found in Heath and Birchgrove, Cardiff as well as Dinas Powys and Newport. Our office in Birchgrove can be found on Coronation Road, a few minutes' walk from St Andrews Methodist Church. Green Willows Funerals is a social enterprise, with firm underpinnings in charity and community. As such, we promote the following ethos and set of behaviours: We will provide a transparent, compassionate service to all of our clients and the families that we serve Our approach is client-centred. We put you first and will always give impartial professional advice and make sure you know all of the options that are possible We enable and support you. What this means is we empower you to be the decision maker. After all, you are the one who knows best. We are not profit driven. So, although we charge fees for our services, these will be maintained at a level that reflects the needs of the company and its commitments. This is why we are cost-competitive compared to other funeral directors. All of our clients, regardless of gender, faith or belief are treated as equals. Green Willow Funerals is also an equal opportunity employer. We are owned by the Cardiff YMCA which is a Christian and charitable body. As part of this, the company and its staff aim to maintain and uphold in all matters Christian principles and teachings, although they (the staff) are not required to be practising Christians.
