Frank Painter & Sons, Funeral Directors, are located just across from Shrewsbury's historic Flaxmill and Maltings, and have been providing funeral services to the local community here since the 1930s, and have been under the ownership of the Painter family since that time. Nowadays it is the fourth generation of the family that helps run the business - Shrewsbury’s only completely independent fourth generation firm of family funeral directors. We endeavour to provide every possible form of help, advice and assistance to each bereaved family that we are proud to serve. At Frank Painter & Sons we fully appreciate how difficult a time this can be for you and your family, as you come to terms with the loss of someone dear to you, and we strive to ensure that our services help ease any trauma and uncertainty you may be feeling. We can offer you assistance on many additional services for the funeral including newspaper announcements, personalised Order of Service cards, books of remembrance, and advice on floral tributes and catering for receptions after the funeral. We have dedicated chapels of rest in which we take great care of your loved one prior to the funeral and where you are welcome to visit them and say your farewells in privacy and comfort, along with a showroom with a wide range of coffins and caskets for families to make their selection from.
