Elwood & Capper Funeral Directors are Dunmurry’s only family run and truly independent firm of funeral directors. Founded in 2005 by David Capper and Brian Elwood, we offer a complete funeral service to our clients that is distinguished in terms of its high levels of professionalism and personal care. The traditions of funeral directing run strong in the Elwood family as James Elwood, Brian’s grandfather, conducted funerals as far back as 1928, using a horse-drawn cart borrowed from his cousin. Although times and traditions have changed since, Brian and David (who met on an embalming course in the early 1990’s) have combined their expertise to bring their families together to serve yours. As such, Elwood & Capper Funeral Directors offer a complete funeral service to families in the local community that is second to none in terms of professionalism and the personal touch. We can help with all aspects of funerals and offer a wide range of funeral services to ensure that the ceremony for your loved one goes exactly the way you would wish it to. We have an extensive range of memorials and grave markers that can be personalised to your wishes, and we have a seven-seater funeral limousine available to help transport you and your family both to and from the ceremony. Elwood & Capper Funeral Directors also have their own funeral church, which was officially opened in 2007 by members of the local clergy, making it a dedicated religious building. It’s a beautiful and bright building capable of seating 50 people, complete with a private chapel of rest and an electric organ. We can provide prepaid funeral plans to save you and your family money, along with the stress of funeral arrangement when you pass away.
