We were established over 100 years ago in 1894 by George Charles Mace with the firm now being in it’s 4th generation of the same family and currently overseen by Charles Malcom Mace. This continuation of generations has meant that Charles Mace and Sons funeral director has been able to continue with the same values and traditions we were founded on in the 19th Century; those of a dignified, professional, unique, respectful and high quality service provided at an affordable price. We are available 24 hours a day and will be providing guidance and assistance to you and your family from the moment you contact us. We are revered for our sensitive and practical help and all our staff aim to alleviate the stress involved with making funeral arrangements. All the services and elements of a funeral can be sourced and arranged here at Charles Mace and Sons. You are welcome to come and meet us at our modern, purpose-built premise located on Castlegate, Berwick Upon Tweed, close to Berwick War Memorial. We have a chapel of rest; private memorial service room and you will also have access to our modern fleet of vehicles. We can also assist in helping with elements of the funeral such as flowers, obituary notices, order of service sheets, woodland burials and non-religious funerals.
