Attwood Funerals is a family owned and independently-run funeral directors founded by Mike. Servicing the Wyre Fores tand its surrounding areas, we are available to offer families a fully participative funeral service, endeavouring to meet all your individual needs and requirements – however big or small. Mike or Kate will always be available to help and guide you through the process, start to finish. As a Green Fuse trained funeral director, Mike worked for a variety of funeral businesses prior to starting his own company; the name ‘Attwood’ comes from Mike’s grandmother’s maiden name. Mike is supported in the office by Kate, who is both funeral celebrant and funeral arranger. Having worked as an independent funeral celebrant for ten years, Kate’s background as a school teacher in special needs and religious education has been particularly useful in helping to establish strong bonds with all the families we serve. The holder of a degree in Law and a Master’s degree in Religious Education, Kate also practises as a psychotherapist, being an NLP Clinical Master Practitioner. At Attwood Funerals, we are people first and foremost, and that is why you and your family will find us relaxed and approachable and dressed in everyday clothes – not the traditionally sombre black worn by other funeral directors. Catering to your needs every step of the way, we offer a variety of funeral services, both traditional and modern – when it comes to funerals and memorials, the choice is yours. Attwoods are a small company, so you get to know us very well. We believe that there shouldn’t be any rules dictating what a funeral can and cannot be, and so we always strive to help you create a memorable and completely personal service when saying goodbye to your loved one.
