We have many years’ of combined experience and knowledge in the funeral profession which helps us to ensure that every funeral we direct is both as personal and as unique as is possible. At AJ Gascoigne & Son Funeral Directors we will always work to ensure that your loved one's funeral service and ceremony is organised and carried out with the utmost levels of both dignity and respect. We cover all surrounding areas throughout the local community and we provide both help and support to the bereaved on a 24-hour a day basis. Initial funeral arrangements can be made at our funeral premises should you wish to come in and visit us there, or we can come and visit you at a location of your choice, be that in the comfort of oyur own home or elsewhere. The choice is entirely yours. You’ll find our offices and funeral business at ‘Hazelwood House’ in Woodhorn Village, Ashington, Northumberland. At AJ Gascoigne & Son you’ll discover that we offer a complete funeral service to our customers and their family, including a function room, which can be used for post-funeral reception refreshments after the ceremony. In 1995 we opened our own cemetery which is now known as ‘Woodhorn Cemetery’ and is both owned and maintained by us, exclusively for use by the customers for whom we provide our funeral services. This unique service offering is rare in the UK; the majority of burial grounds throughout the country are owned either by the church or by local authorities. We are able to provide a huge range of funeral services for you and your family to ensure that the funeral for your loved one goes exactly as you would wish it to.
