Opened in 1960, Stourbridge Crematorium is currently owned and managed by Dudley Council and it stands in the grounds of Stourbridge Cemetery. The crematorium buildings were developed from an old chapel with many of the original features being retained to preserve its character and uniqueness. The original building has been in existence for more than 100 years. Stourbridge Crematorium chapel provides a warm welcome for the congregation and makes all denominations welcome. The Gornal Wood Chapel is a more contemporary design, the staff create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The chapel has a waiting room if you arrive early before the service. A range of options are available for the service itself featuring music, readings and if required hymns. Where music is required it is usually supplied by the Obitus which includes a vast library of music tracks and hymns. The crematorium allow 30 minutes for each service.
