Part of The Highland Council, Inverness Crematorium has been opened since 1995 and is situated on the western outskirts of the Inverness city centre. Despite its location, it is a tranquil, peaceful and rural location for you to say goodbye in a respectful manner. Here there are 2 chapels which are suitable for private services. One is able to hold a larger group, whilst the second is suitable for smaller family services. Once the ashes have been gathered they can be returned to the Earth in the Garden of Remembrance or can be taken by the family to adhere to private arrangements. In the chapel tower you will find the Book of Remembrance which gives a lasting record and memorial of the loved one that has passed, giving you the opportunity to quietly reflect on them whenever you wish. There are also other memorials that can be organised. This crematorium is able to hold full religious services as well as smaller shorter committal ceremonies if they are required. You can also request for music to played through the music system or for an organist to play for a more traditional approach.
