Cheltenham Crematorium

At Cheltenham Crematorium, services are arranged every 45 minutes throughout the day, allowing 35 minutes for each funeral service. There are two chapels at the crematorium, the North Chapel and South Chapel. There are organs in each chapel to provide musical accompaniment during the service or there is a facility to provide music on CD if preferred. Funeral services can also be recorded where required. The crematorium chapel underwent a careful restoration in 1995 which retained as much of its traditional character as possible. The South Chapel can now accommodate approximately 100 mourners. The North Chapel has capacity for 60 mourners but a small number of extra seats can be made available. The crematorium and cemetery are located in Bouncers Hill. The cemetery, gardens of remembrance and book of remembrance are open between 9am and 7:30pm, Monday to Saturday between April and September. In the winter months, October and 31 March opening hours are between 9am and 4.30pm. Opening times are slightly different for Sundays, Good Friday, Bank Holidays and Christmas Day. Between April and September these times will be 9am and 7:30pm and between October and March the hours are 9am and 4:30pm.
