Amber Valley Crematorium

The Amber Valley Crematorium and Memorial Park is situated between Swanwick and Alfreton and has been uniquely designed so that it fits in with the natural surroundings and green space. The Chapel has seating for 100 mourners and there is further space to accommodate another 100 standing. The site can accommodate large congregations of more than 400 people via an audio system that broadcasts the service to other areas on site. The car park has spaces for 60 vehicles. The chapel has been tastefully decorated in light colours and the décor is respectful to the occasion without being morbid and dark. For the disabled there is a hearing loop system in the building and disabled access. A Wesley music system is available for music or there is a traditional organ to accompany hymns. There is also a public address system and plasma screens for still image or video tributes to be displayed.
