E.B. Button & Sons Ltd is an independent funeral director servicing the families of Woodbridge and beyond. Operating for over 135 years, we have built up a wealth of knowledge as well as strong local ties. As one of the oldest businesses in the town, we are proud of the way we services generations of local families throughout the years. We here at E.B. Button & Sons Ltd have a rich history of funeral directing. The business was founded so long ago that there is no record of its official founding date. However, the business first appears in records in 1864. It was run by George Thurman and later his son, Edward, also joined the business. Like many companies of the day, the business did not solely focus on funeral directing but also engaged in building, carpentry and joinery services. They brought these skills together in order to make gorgeous, bespoke coffins. This practice continued through into the 1980’s. The business is currently run by siblings Colin, Kate and Stephen along with fellow funeral director David. With our rich history and our focus on customer care, E.B. Button & Sons Ltd has become a local stable. Services we offer to our families include a modern fleet of vehicles, a wide selection of coffins, out of hours collection, home visits, abilities to facilitate a variety of faiths as well as personal touches and striving to ensure your loved one's wishes are adhered to. Our friendly and professional team can be found at our premises on in the town centre just up the hill from St. John’s Street. There is some on-street parking as well as parking at the bottom of New Street and by Budgens supermarket.
