Our dad Alan sadly passed away on Monday 22nd July. He had been unwell for a while with heart problems, COPD and problems associated with Diabetes. He was taken into hospital just before Christmas 2018 when he was told that he might lose his legs due to the diabetes, luckily, he never did. While he was there, he was moved to various wards including intensive care, while he was placed on dialysis, and also the coronary ward all the while in isolation as his legs were so badly infected. He was eventually allowed home although he was never the same. During 2018 he lost his beloved sister and after caring for his younger brother for the last few months of his life, he lost his younger brother too. He was still grieving their losses during his time in hospital and up until his passing. Our dad was 70 years old and had worked since the age of 15 until he retired 5 years ago. We need your help! Our dad had no savings or life insurance and we are unable to raise the rest of the money needed for his funeral. His siblings had lovely services and we want to do the same for him. We are not in a position to hold an elaborate funeral for him and are just trying to raise enough to cover a simple funeral service and cremation. The funeral is costing £3600 and we are currently £2600 short of this amount, we are hoping that there are generous people who are willing to help contribute to this funeral fund so that we can hold a funeral service for him. Thank you in advance for your kindness.
