Silvana Esposito

Silvana Esposito

25th Dec 1953 - 14th Apr 2024
70 years
Silvana Lucia Esposito passed away peacefully just before midnight on Sunday 14th April in her home in Bramcote, Nottingham, as she had wanted. Predeceased by her father Saverio (1923-1995) and mother Rosa (1929-2016). Beloved mother of Alexandros, and mother-in-law to Becci. Proud and affectionate grandmother of Ada, Atticus and Lilla. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings Maria (Umberto Amodio), Teresa (David Lockwood) and Pino (Lucy Luccisano), along with their children and grandchildren. She was an active member of the Beeston community, having started its first coffee bar; the bean in 1998. In the '00s her son Alex took over its management, but she continued to be actively involved behind the scenes. She was a skilled and passionate gardener and allotment owner, extraordinary baker, basket weaver and candle maker. She had an incredible work ethic and was always trying her hand at something new! Her greatest pride and joy remained her family; particularly her three grandchildren. She spent much time teaching them Italian, baking with them, having sleepovers, and in latter months, playing card games. We are aware there are those who wish to give flowers, or a donation to the family. We were given a night nurse for a few nights at the end of Silvana's life which enabled us to keep her comfortable and safe at home. This was provided by Nottinghamshire Hospice and we will be giving them a donation. If you wish your gift to go to this charity, or to the children, as we understand is some people's wish, please do let us know.
