Norman Peter William Bolton

Norman Peter William Bolton

1st Nov 1940 - 18th May 2023
82 years
This is to honour Norman Peter William Bolton who left us too soon and too quickly. Husband and life partner to Eve, beloved father to Lucy Rose and Sarah-Jane, adored grandfather of Jessica and Fitzwilliam and much-loved father-in-law to Phil and Olivier. He was a true life-force, passionate about everything he undertook, ferociously proud of his children and grandchildren. Always ready to take risks and unafraid to learn new things right unto the end. A former police officer in the Metropolitan Police, Daddy had an exciting and varied career before taking early retirement and going on to be self-employed, work which led him to travel around the world and have many wonderful experiences. A hands-on grandfather from the time of his grandchildren’s birth, he always said they were his “immortality” and they loved him unconditionally. He was always fun and funny, and they still retell his stories. For his daughters he was always present, supportive and loving and simply the best father. It is a cliché to say he will be missed but his passing has already left what seems to be and unfillable hole in our lives. As his granddaughter said, “we hope you have all the Liquorice Allsorts, bananas and Kitkats you need up there”. We will love you and miss you every day.
