I can hardly believe we are stood here today. I know everyone thinks their mum is the best , but ours truly was…..Our mum was kind, caring, strong and brave, all of those things and more…….Mum loved my dad , my brother and me, and of course my two lads Andrew and Ryan, We didn’t have to want for anything, if mum had it, we got what we needed. Mum loved looking around the clothes shops, she loved nail varnish and was always on the look out for the latest anti-wrinkle creams !.............Of course- all these things were not needed , as our mum was beautiful inside and out........I will let you into a little secret……….Mum was secretly in love with a certain Pep .......Pep G - Manager of Manchester City football club…….and of course Joe Tate from Emmerdale ……..but don’t tell my dad its our little secret Mum- its your turn to rest….Make sure Uncle Joe is behaving himself…. I can imagine Nana rolling her eyes at you two, keeping you both in line. Mum - we will hold you forever and a day in our thoughts and our hearts…….Sleep well mum. You are…….… and will always be………. my best friend…….

I am writing this letter to express my thanks for everything Kane Funeral Services have done for us and my mum, Linda Shaw. I will be forever grateful regarding the respect, dignity and compassion shown to my mum. Steph was lovely, kind and caring which lifted our heavy hearts. The care she showed my mum was second to none, what a lovely lady she truly is. The whole Funeral ran so smoothly, which was a massive relief, your team showed us the utmost kindness and support. Ian and the team on the day showed my mum the greatest respect, it made me want to cry. The Rev Smallman is to be thanked as he took the service exactly as we would have liked it,he was a true gentleman and a kind and caring person. Finally, the lady who did the flowers, (Lynn from Flower land) i do not think i have ever seen such a beautiful display of the highest quality. Once again, thank you to all those involved from my family and myself for saying goodbye to my beautiful mum in the most wonderful way, as i adored my mum. What an amazing team you all are and with nothing being to much trouble. I would like to say a huge thank you to Linda's family for trusting me to care for Linda during her final journey through this side of life , I can still smell Linda's perfume in my Chapel (hehe) You are a truly amazing , caring family. Just remember Anne as I said to you, I am always on the other end of the phone if you need to talk , and I will have the kettle on for you when you call in for you cup of tea. My nana Linda was an amazing woman I am honoured to call her my nana as she was and still is the best nana anyone could have ever wished for. She was so caring, supportive, and never failed to make me and everyone around her smile. Although she was in her 70s, she never appeared that age to me, she was truly young at heart. She loved a good laugh and was always there when I needed her. I will miss her an unimaginable amount as will anyone who’s life she was a part of. We have lost someone very close to our hearts, but she will remain in our hearts and thoughts forever Rest in peace nana until we meet again
