Lily donnan

My mum was one in a million. She was caring and patient and loved her three children very much. Over her life she dealt with a disability that caused her pain at times but she never complained. Working all her life in the mill, dinner lady and home help. Lily had one sister Annie. They were separated by the Irish sea but remained forever close all there lives. Mum married dad in 1962 (hilary). They had three children. Paul, Jennifer and Amos. Theo is her only grandson, she loved him so so much and I remember the excitement the day he was born. Mum was a Christian and her faith was the centre of her life. She enjoyed the fellowship of her church and loved her bible. Mum could keep a secret, anything you told her would always stay with her and she had friends that she would stay friends with for life. Mum held no malice in her heart and was a sound listening ear. I miss her more than words can express and each day I long to sit and talk to her for even a few minutes. Mum had the x factor. I know I am blessed to have her as my mum. Something inside is missing and can never be replaced. Love you mum always, forever. I will carry you in my heart until we meet again.
