Jack Brothwell

Jack was a big fan of Sheffield United and I went to countless matches with him both home and away. I first met him while working for Gleesons builders on a site at Upperthorpe ,Sheffield in 1974 (he was a hod carrier at the time) His father,who died some years ago was a manager on the site. He spent a long time in the building trade but later became an hgv driver,doing multi drop deliveries across Northern England His last job was working for Danish Bacon Ltd at Wath on Dearne,before retiring early in 2002.which gave him more time to look after his 2 Yorkshire terriers. After going into the Northern General hospital recently he sadly passed away. Unfortunately he has no surviving close relatives that I know of R.I.P
