When Francis Xavier "Frank" Frendo was born on 13 November 1939 in Malta, his father, Giorgio, was 36 and his mother, Giuseppa, was 34. He married Carmen "Cerrie" Farrugia in 1960 in his hometown. They had two children during their marriage. He died on 26 July 2016 in Peterborough, Northamptonshire, at the age of 76.
