Emmett Louis Till was born on April 25th, 1941. He was an outgoing boy and was very light-hearted. He was always playing around with his friends and was good in school. While in Money Mississippi he was falsely accused of whistling at a white woman. A week later he was found at the bottom of Tallahatchie river with a cotton gin tied around his neck. He was brutally beaten and the only way I could recognize it was my son was because he was wearing his fathers' ring. He was 14 years old and hadn't even graduated middle school.
