Ellen Stone

In loving memory of Ellen Anne Stone who sadly lost her brave fight against cancer at home on 18th January 2023, in the loving company of her husband. 'Brave fight against cancer' is a phrase often used, but Ellen truly was courageous in the face of her illness. In her death as in her life, her family's wellbeing remained at the forefront of her mind. Ellen was a caring, devoted wife to Michael, who she sadly leaves behind. A beautiful marriage spanning an impressive 53 years, cut short only by the fate of time - a rare achievement in today's society. Ellen also leaves her two sons, Lee and Jon who simply could not have wished for a better Mum, ten grandchildren on whom she doted, and her beloved 'little' brother Fred. Ellen's family was her world and you could tell that she was at her happiest when surrounded by them. All we can say about that, is that to our family, you were our whole world. There is so much we will miss about you. Every family meal will not be the same. Every Birthday will miss your amazing cakes. Every Christmas will miss your enthusiastic trips to spend a ridiculous sum on new decorations with your Daughter-in-Laws, Jackie and Ellie. We shall end this simply by saying thank you for being you. You are loved beyond measure and forever missed. X
