When Brian Causer was born on 7 July 1937 in Middleton St George, Durham, his father, Wilfred, was 30 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 30. He married Irene Walker on 29 November 1958 in Darlington, Durham. They had three children during their marriage. He died on 3 July 2000 in Darlington, Durham, at the age of 62.
