Ian Calvin (born Ian Garnet Wilson) was born to Irene and Tony in 1943, he spent his childhood in Eygpt whilst his father served in the forces. Ian got a job working in a bank, but this was not his dream, and before long he was singing with The Cliff Adams Singers and performing on stage. Ian soon became principle boy for many shows, playing the Prince in at least 13 pantomimes, and touring the countries theatres, and working on cruise ships, visiting Scandinavia and three World wide cruises on the SS Canberra. Ian was in several television programmes Henry Viii and his six wives, Elizabeth R, Doctor in the House, The Rivals of Sherlock homes, BBC New Faces and Film Peau D Ane (Donkey Skin) Ian toured Japan for the production of Oliver! and performed with Andre Previn and the LSO. His final role was in the first London Cast of Les Misérables that began in 1985, he passed away in February 1987 from complications from the Aids virus. Ian was loved by many who attended his funeral at Golders Green. He left behind his mum Reenie, and his long term partner Geoff. Loved and remembered by his cousins and their children and many friends. Ian and Geoffery rest together in Somerset
