William Dunphy - Funeral Directors are a family funeral business set up in 1996 and operating out of Brockley, London SE4. The business is owned by Rev. William and Nicki Dunphy, a father and daughter who have lived in the area for over 40 years. We are assisted by 3 full-time staff (including Nicki's son Will) and Jeanette our part time administrator and arranger as well as several part-time staff. Rev Dunphy (Bill) is a Catholic deacon, and as such he often takes funeral services for our clients. Although Bill is a practising Catholic, we undertake funerals for people of all faiths and none, working closely with dozens of local churches along with many humanist and non-religious celebrants. This way we ensure that our clients' needs and expectations are met and exceeded every time. Nicki works as the full-time arranger and administrator at William Dunphy Funeral Directors and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in all areas of funerals and bereavement. Will is our arranger and conductor and goes out on every funeral to make sure that the day goes without a hitch. Keith and Ross are our experienced drivers and behind the scenes staff and have each been with us for over 10 years. Ian, our embalmer, has been with us for 18 years. We also own Honor Oak Florist, staffed by Lisa and Mandy. This terrific duo can provide us at William Dunphy Funeral Directors with all our fabulous fresh flower arrangements and sprays for the funeral ceremonies we conduct, all priced to suit every budget. We also work closely with stonemason John Caden at Crowley Memorials in Catford while our funeral stationery is supplied by Anna from another local family firm. At William Dunphy Funeral Directors we can arrange pre-paid funerals through Golden Charter and sell The Independent Way, a bespoke funeral plan. We arrange many repatriations every year to countries all over the world. We have an understanding of the many rules and regulations which govern repatriation and can give advice and a quote very quickly. We can also supply or offer lists of local clergy, celebrants, halls for hire, caterers, singers, musicians and can provide white doves for the ceremony. If a family wishes to conduct the funeral service themselves we are also more than happy to guide them through the service and offer suggestions and information to aid and assist.
