The Cornish Funeral Company was established by husband and wife team Terry and Katrina Wagstaff in Truro, Cornwall. When a beloved family member passed away suddenly, Terry and Katrina decided to plan the funeral themselves. In doing so, they were able to plan a more intimate and personal funeral, with bespoke touches befitting the deceased loved one. Terry and Katrina’s main aim is to help arrange a funeral that suits you and your family, whatever you may need - this ranges from a cremation, to a large funeral with a personalised ceremony. We can help you to arrange something more intimate, where friends and family are able to decorate the coffin, share refreshments and hold their own ceremony in a venue that you choose. At The Cornish Funeral Company, we are passionate about providing a funeral service that is caring, respectful and dignified. It is our aim to treat all of our clients with compassion and respect. Working with the local community of Truro to reduce funeral poverty, we aim to give back to our community and aim to work in collaboration with different organisations in the areas of funeral awareness and the environmental issues surrounding funerals. After an initial meeting with you to clarify your wishes, we will then carry out your instructions, including completing necessary paperwork, liaising with the burial ground/crematorium and minister/celebrant, curating music, preparing and producing Orders of Service, as well as transporting the deceased and administering any donations. There is a wide range of beautiful coffins available on the market that we can source for you. The coffins that we supply are made from natural materials that will not harm the environment. We also offer the option of a bamboo shroud which can be used for burials and, sometimes, cremations.
