John Stoddart and Sons is an independent, family owned and run funeral director based in Dunfermline, Fife. As an independent funeral director, the need to chase profit driven sales targets implemented by head office are removed and we can focus on what really matters, which is providing a personal, professional and dignified service to the bereaved families in the Dunfermline and West Fife area. Something we are extremely proud of is our family heritage and the fact that we are the longest established family-owned and run funeral directors in Dunfermline. Founded in 1932 by joiner, cabinetmaker and the company’s namesake, John Stoddart, the company has been passed through the years to the fourth generation of the Stoddart family, Keith Stoddart and long-time family friend and funeral director Alex Dolan. Being available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week is something that in our opinion all funerals directors should abide by. You do not choose when you will need us and so whenever the time calls, rest assured that we will be available to take your call and offer advice and guidance from the off.
