John Davies and Sons Funeral Directors was established in the early 1900’s and it is now owned and operated by Mr John Davies, the grandson of the founder. Over the years, the business has evolved from being undertakers, coach builders, and carrying out building repairs, to a focus on Funeral Directing and Memorial Masonry. Over the years we have provided a thoughtful, high quality and reasonably priced service to the local community. At Salem Chapel we can accommodate large funerals, which may be religious or non-religious. The chapel has a seating capacity of 280 and it is also used to host community events such as concerts. The rear of the building has recently been refurbished, offering rooms where your loved one may rest until the day of the funeral. Today we serve Treharris, Nelson, Bedlinog, Gelligaer, Hengoed, Abercynon, Merthyr Vale and all surrounding areas.
